Dear friends, I am going to share an experience of mine with you.
Many of us face this problem when our bank account debits using our ATM cards but amount not get dispensed to us. In such situation we are advised by bank that we have nothing to do, amount will be automatically credited in our account. Sometimes it gets credited but sometimes it not gets. Such a case was happened with my friend on 06 March 2012. The debit card of SBI was used in PNB ATM where Rs 5000/- were debited from account but not dispensed. He made a quick complaint in both the banks but nothing satisfactory happened. In spite of frequent requests and reminders, banks did not took any suitable action even after upto 25 Nov 2014. On 26 Nov 2014 he told me about the problem. I assured him that I will help him in getting back his money with interest but I also didn't knew how it will be done. After a deep study, I took up a case through Banking Ombudsman on 29 Nov 2014. Banking Ombudsman is a Banking Supervisory Authority working directly under RBI. After due deliberation, they started enquiry from both the banks. Many phone calls and emails were received by us from banking authorities during enquiry. Finally, on 23 Mar 2015, Rs 10000/- were credited in my friend's account and the case got closed. I thanked to the Banking Ombudsman for the help.
It is to be highlighted that I had not sent any letter or correspondence physically or visited any office/bank etc, only scanned my complaint and forwarded to the registered email ID of Banking Ombudsman.

Delete1. Take a train from Lucknow to Burhwal railway station. Take a rikshaw from Burhwal to Ramnagar and a auto / bus from Ramnagar to Mahadeva.
2. Take a bus from Lucknow to Ramnagar and a auto from Ramnagar to Mahadeva.
